612472 2007-11-20 05:07:00 Sorry, my mistake. I was referring to the Michael Curran case from the other day.

I made the reference from memory (which was slightly faulty). It was 9 years for the first murder and I guess sentencing for the second is still to come.

Mate half a brain and you would have known to what you were referring.

My most humble apologies.

Unfortunately, whilst I strive to reach your level of perfection, there are the odd times when I fail to reach those standards. But I try.

612474 2007-11-20 05:29:00 I have always wondered how liberals feel when something real bad has done been against them like rape, assault, burgulary etc.
Its easy for us rednecks we just want to catch the buggers and wring their necks
Do liberals like Flanders on Simpsons and Deanne In CHCH just go oh bother and move on?

Bit of a misunderstanding here,I was saying Deano should have recognised the case to which you were referring, but one needs half a brain to see that.

Do try to keep up Merc.

One must assume nothing bad ever happens to them,it just might be the way to go.?
Or there other cheek is somewhat worn due to much turning.

Well you're not, so stop doing that please. Jen (38)

Well, as for me, I went to law. Waited three years through a change of the accused's lawyer - which brought (bought?) him another year while he revisited pre-trial applications - one trial that was aborted before the jury was even empanelled, a three-day trial six months later which found him guilty on 14 out of 15 charges and two months out on bail awaiting his 22 month jail sentence. After which he got home detention after 3 1/2 months in an actual jail.

I'm not sure if that qualifies as an "oh bother".
