Roads in three areas in the country's northern region have been painted with musical notes to alert motorists that the road they are passing over is musical, The Daily Telegraph reported Wednesday. The roads have been cut at precise distances in the asphalt, creating musical notes when driven over that resonate inside the vehicles. The optimum listening speed for the roads is 28 miles per hour, leading to speculation that they could be used as an incentive to keep drivers under the speed limit in 30 mile per hour zones. However, opinions of the roads by those who have driven over them vary. Some describe the resulting sounds as more of a "rumble" than a musical noise, while others have said the tune is so clear they could almost sing along, The Daily Telegraph said.	johcar (6283)
