1438616 2017-08-28 09:57:00 I couldn't find the thread where these were discussed so here goes.
Up till today at nearly the tender age of 75 I was a E-bike virgin.
I took the plunge today and rectified that by buying a Smart Motion E-city model. Wonderful!!! What took me so long to do this. I have no trouble riding it and as there is only a small amount of pedal power required. This solves the problem I had with my stroke affected leg on my old bike.
I am looking forward to better weather so I can chuck my camera equipment into the carrier basket and sail off into the sunrise/sunset 🌇 and take many photos.
Ken :) :)

Lots of mature people are getting them round here.
More fun than playing bowls.

Awesome.

Looks more or less like ours.....
Husband was very pleased with it, he went for quite a big ride to a friends last time.

He said he just let it do the work on the hills.

Make sure you get a good lock for it when you park it somewhere.
We insured ours, AMI said we could either specify value or go with generic, so specified. Excess was high though but best to have it on the list

1438621 2017-08-28 22:18:00 I rang my insurance company to get my bike covered and they said if it's under $3k it's covered already so I didn't change anything.
Still not game to park it in public though.

Lately I've had a spate of punctures and I recommend investing in a spare tube and a pair of tire levers and carrying them with you. I for one will not be fixing punctures on the side of the road and tubes are cheap enough.
Surprising amount of glass on the road I've noticed since biking more.

.

That's what mine said, under something anyway...but what they may pay would be either agreed value or market, so I specified it.
No extra premiums.....
