1438606 2017-08-28 08:24:00 Hi folks, is anyone able to inform me where I am able to purchase Publisher, or an equivalent, on its own rather than a new copy of the Office suite. I have a legit Home Office 2010 on my computers, but now require Publisher so I can produce and print certificates for the sports club I belong to. I have approached a local firm where I get my servicing done, but have not heard back as of yet.

Rny.

1438607 2017-08-28 10:43:00 I live in Invercargill and have Publisher... And no, you can't have it, but perhaps we could organise something. Let me know if you are interested and I could send you a PM. R.M. (561)

1438611 2017-08-28 17:08:00 This seems like a good free alternative:

Scribus (https://www.scribus.net/) is the gold standard when it comes to open source desktop publishing. With over a decade of active development, you'll find pretty much all of the features a basic user would expect inside. It can import from a wide variety of formats, and a user-friendly interface makes it a great choice for beginners. The large user community also means that there are many great resources out there for those who need additional help, from books to forums to many templates available for download to fit almost any need.

+1 for Scribus, it's free, it does certificates and newsletters or whatever. I found it a very good alternative to Publisher.

1438613 2017-08-28 20:05:00 That sounds a great option. R.M. (561)
1438614 2017-08-28 21:20:00 You already have a program installed that can easily do Certificates. Open MS Word, file -new - In the search type in Certificates, and you can get lots of templates or simply make your own.

You can also search online to download even more.
