The original files are of the same quality and resolution and frame rate Are there any free or commercial programs that are easy to use that would do this please? TIA |

You could get a trial version of Adobe Premiere Elements The important thing is to export the joined-up file with sufficient video bitrate, particularly if the video was taken hand-held and is therefore bouncing around a bit. (The compression doesn't work too well in such circumstances - the video is like a string of independent jpegs) I would run Mediainfo (a free app) on one of the original clips to see what the bitrate is, then export a test segment from the video editor and check it with Mediainfo. Fiddle with the editor's controls to get the video bitrate similar to the original |

In other words you can dump your MP4 movies into lossless format, and then combine those lossless files into a finished product. Since the link below for a list of lossless video formats. | 1438356 | 2017-09-02 11:55:00 | Thanks for all your replies. @kioti I downloaded Freemake Video Converter. I didn't want to convert the files to another format as the original format, mp4 is fine. The finished file has a watermark imbedded in it. To get the watermark removed I need to pay a yearly subscription or a lifetime subscription all in US dollars. I am trying the other suggestions. I will get Mediainfo and have a look at the original files. Once again thanks to all. Knownothing |

They are quite different Motion JPEG is a series of JPEGs strung together into a movie, so every frame is a 'keyframe' MPEG4 (MP4) has 'keyframes' at set intervals and between them only the differences are saved for each frame.
