| 1438294 | 2017-08-16 21:41:00 | My Laptop is an HP COMPAQ Presario CQ61 with Windows 10. The sound is very low and I can hardly hear videos and You Tube etc. The settings are for high but is there any other settings to help the volume. Cheers. |

Also right click the speaker icon in windows taskbar and open the volume mixer then check that as well as the main volume being set high the application volume is set high. Lastly right click the windows speaker icon again and go to playback devices, then select your speakers and go to properties, check the level settings there as well. If none of that works maybe your speakers are just puny. Laptop speakers have limited volume as a rule. 1 trick for video or audio files is to use a player like VLC that let's you crank the volume up past 100%, just don't go to the point where things start distorting. Won't help for online streaming though. |
