It will affect the lowest income people the most Also , less likely to invest in building new rentals. Less available rentals, rents go up . in theory. On the other hand, will depend on what people are willing & able to pay in rent . I would have thought we are well past affordable rent (in Ak) , so will be a natural limit on rent increases . Making things harder & stricter for landlords can ONLY lead to more living in cars & garages Wait & see what happens when we reach the final deadline for insulating rentals . |

This is undiluted piffle, the rental market in most European cities is far stricter than here, yet there are no more homeless per capita there than here, in fact there are fewer. |
