775936 2009-05-22 06:10:00 As the title says, my 2gb Transcend Jetflash V30 has just failed me, When I plug it into my computer, that sound sounds, and the light flashes, and the E:/ appears.

The problem is, the E:/ Dissapears quickly. And when I do manage to open it, It tells me to reformat my USB.

:help:

I must now have the PF1 record for the amount of problems Ive posted on here.

Thanks In Advance!

775938 2009-05-22 08:23:00 Where do I look in there? Sir Prospect (14735)
775939 2009-05-22 08:27:00 Probably under disk drives Speedy Gonzales (78)
775940 2009-05-22 08:31:00 Try it on another machine and if it reads it get the data off then maybe think aout formatting it as your comp wants you too. You also look under my computer but I doubt if it will show there, possibly leave it plugged in and see if the bios can see it during a reboot gary67 (56)
775941 2009-05-22 08:34:00 Look under disk drives and Universal Serial Bus controllers.

Right click it and uninstall

775942 2009-05-22 23:31:00 I tried,

Windows ME: Light Flashes, keeps flashing, nothing happens
Windows XP: Light Flashes, sound sounds, E:/ Appears and dissapears
Windows Vista: (First time on this, light flashes, computer says searching for drivers, keeps searching for hours, fed up and pulled it out)

Thanks,
Sir Prospect (14735)
775943 2009-05-22 23:41:00 Well its probably stuffed. Altho pulling it out wont help things either. Take it back. Sounds like the same thing I've got here. Speedy Gonzales (78)
775944 2009-05-22 23:55:00 If its still under warranty take it back Blam (54)
775945 2009-05-23 02:12:00 Lol, I wish.

Its about a 1.5 years old got it from MCT computers for $23. And I voided the warranty by removing that barcode sticker.

Is there any chance of recovering my data? This month's PC World says that recuva might help?

Thanks for your help everyone!
