775849 2009-05-22 04:12:00 Hi

In XP you can configure things so that the Task Bar does NOT hide inactive icons - ie you can see them all, all of the time.

Am I right in thinking that you CAN'T do this in Vista Home Premium? If you can how please?

Thanks

775850 2009-05-22 04:33:00 OK

I can do it on an icon by icon basis but can I do it in one hit?

775851 2009-05-22 04:36:00 Don't think so, icon by icon. wratterus (105)
775852 2009-05-22 04:50:00 Solved it

The friggin "Hide inactive icons" option is under the "Notification Area" tab rather than the "Taskbar" tab - how logical is that?

Thanks

775853 2009-05-22 05:00:00 I would have thought reasonably logical, seeing as it is called the notification area. ;)

Glad you got it sorted...
