| 614193 | 2007-11-23 02:44:00 | I have recently been head hunted by an Australian company to move to Oz, and they are offering me a fantastic offer in terms of wages, the amount of holiday, and other lifestyle benefits. I have been holding off moving to Oz for several years, but am now seriously considering it. I also think I could do with a change. I would be interested to find out how many other people of working age here in NZ are thinking of heading off to Oz. |

But once you get a place and start a job you just fall into the same routine as you would at home, work all week, buy food,pay bills, could days off, back to work..... When it came time to buy a house and start a family. Back we came. And now I much prefer the green grass of home rather then the red dust of Aussie. Just have to get these restless natives to stop dragging down the country, and to stop the government turning us all into losers. Also, Sydney sucked in much the same way that Auckland does. Huge sprawling concrete mess,populated by idiotic throw backs. |

Is there a cut off point? As it happens I work six days per week. I also, as of this year, receive the national super. The hours I work per week vary. Usually between 40 and 70 hours. I went to Australia in 1980 and returned to New Zealand in 1992. I am happy I returned to NZ. Please do not let any person, other than family, influence your decision. Whatever you decide you will have to live with it. |
