613968 2007-11-22 05:19:00 Personally I am not sorry to see him go.

home.nzcity.co.nz

Too much baggage in my opinion.

613970 2007-11-22 06:19:00 Good riddance, bet there's a few more of his ilk lurking in the shadows as well, he got off lightly, he should have been hung, drawn and quartered publicly for the behaviour he has exhibited whilst in a position of such power in the police force as an example to others who might be tempted to take advantage of those in their power.

Literally a demon in human form.

They should take all the money back off him as well.

613971 2007-11-22 06:20:00 Yep, good riddance.

Greg O'Connor didn't show his normal vehemence about the resignation either...

613972 2007-11-22 06:35:00 Has he resigned to safeguard his pension?

613973 2007-11-22 06:40:00 He would have negotiated a healthy settlement in return for handing in his notice. Metla (12)

613975 2007-11-22 07:13:00 I take it that you all know that he has been paid during the suspension?

I do not know that our mate Clint is actually guilty of anything.

I do know that he was tried and not convicted unlike other police officers whom were tried and convicted on a similar matter and whom were in the same police station.

Personally I think there was something to the allegations.

There again I did not hear the evidence as I was not on the Jury.

613976 2007-11-22 07:27:00 He certainly brought the Police into disrepute - if only by wearing his uniform to Court as a defendant in a rape trial and criticising colleagues after his acquittal. As I remember, those two actions formed at least part of the inquiry into his conduct.

I'd love to know whether they paid him a lump sum in return for his resignation - guess we'll never know. I suppose he's going to miss his $4500 per week salary though.

But really, who would miss a Holden?

"Bringing the Police into disrepute" will never get to an open Court.
Held behind closed doors. I know this for a fact.

Normally the PSA will try to defend.

The inquiry would normally send a letter with a charge or charges. Then ask for an answer. At this point you answer the letter with your defense if any.
