Time to learn IPv6 ( . wikipedia . org/wiki/IPv6" target="_blank">en . wikipedia . org) . ;)

??

IP6 gives u more addresses but don't think it helps alleviate bandwidth .

From the wiki:

The drawback of the large address size is that IPv6 carries some bandwidth overhead over IPv4, which may hurt regions where bandwidth is limited

Hi Sprinkles
Wording you quote from wiki does not make sense :horrified

some bandwidth overhead over IPv4,
I have never heard or read of someone using the consecutive words "overhead over" . Is the person saying greater than, or more than, or really just - overhead ?

613649 2007-11-21 16:26:00 The right thing to do would be to get more DSL running, shut down the dial-up garbage and pump up the speeds to 8 or 10Kbs. SurferJoe46 (51)

613652 2007-11-21 19:51:00 This is a quote from that article

"Nearly 75% of US internet users watched an average of 158 minutes of online video and viewed more than 8.3bn video streams during May, according to research by measurement firm comScore."

They could also go back to watching those videos on tv or hiring dvd's from the rental shop. That would free up bandwidth for email, surfers and forum users. (and porn users)

613653 2007-11-21 21:38:00 It so much cheaper to get media off the web. Would you drive to a store to rent a dvd? I rather compile a list of files that I want to download and download them when I'm away doing other stuff. msnforum (11610)
