| 612888 | 2007-11-19 02:29:00 | this is borderline spam, but I'll let it run seeing as it gives you guys the opportunity to win stuff :) | Jan Birkeland (4741) | ||
| 612889 | 2007-11-19 07:04:00 | Would be much better if they can have a dedicated web page for the competition rather than spreading it by means of forum posting. | Renmoo (66) | ||

My opinion is that this should be deleted & the user banned - the rules are very clear, and if they wanted an exception they should have asked. | Erayd (23) | ||

It MAY be spam. Could I be accused of the same thing? pressf1.co.nz This was not a competition to start with but I turned my thread into one. The winner was paid out of my pocket. What is "useless crap" in your opinion? For me, I guess it will be any information I do not need to know or do not want to know for any reason. Some things interest me and others do not. What I know will maybe fill a book. What I do not know will fill a library. As all people are 100% agreed with you then one would think every person will think the same. Possibly not though. |

| 612894 | 2007-11-20 04:56:00 | And I also wait patiently for the original poster to post back here. In the meantime I will wait. |

| 612895 | 2007-11-20 06:10:00 | I am not sure about the original post in this thread. It MAY be spam. Could I be accused of the same thing? No. The OP was a first-time poster, linking to an external page completely unrelated to this forum, and who signed up purely for the purpose of getting us to view his/her page. You augmented an existing topic already being discussed on the forum with an internal competition, viewed only by members who were already participating in the thread. The rules clearly prohibit what the OP has done, but there is nothing there related to what you have posted in that thread. I was objecting to rule-breaking spam, not competitions in general. What is "useless crap" in your opinion?Information that the majority of users don't want or need, but is forced on them anyway. For me, I guess it will be any information I do not need to know or do not want to know for any reason.I agree, but in the context of a forum I think it's the majority or the admins that need to decide. As all people are 100% agreed with you then one would think every person will think the same. Possibly not though. Not quite sure I understand what you're talking about there, but I wasn't trying to force my opinions on anyone - just make them known. |
