776342 2009-05-24 01:20:00 Hi I foolishly installed the Beta version of Windows 7. I would now like to cleanly remove it from my system, including the auto startup when my machine is switched on. Any advice, please? louisbotha (5905)
776343 2009-05-24 01:23:00 Install another version of windows (or something else), and format / install over it (if there's nothing else on the hdd) Speedy Gonzales (78)
776344 2009-05-24 02:21:00 Several ways to do this - but more info is needed.

What is the Other OS installed , XP, Vista
How is the Windows 7 Installed, on a different partition in one drive - or on a seperate hard Drive.

776345 2009-05-24 08:24:00 Delete the partition-then you may have to repair the MBR with a Vista CD Blam (54)
776346 2009-05-24 09:48:00 I tried that on XP Blam and it wouldn't boot my XP CD which works fine in the end I used a month old Acronis image gary67 (56)

Based on logic, removing an operating system should be as simple as formatting the drive and restoring the original MBR

Thats why here you have to be careful what you suggest - if it stuffs up is the person making the suggestion going to take responsibility for lost data, etc. -- I already know the answer so no need to reply.
