613822 2007-11-23 00:00:00 Never eaten lambchops in my life to be honest. Not even in the 8 years I've been living in NZ. I think I've only eaten lamb three times - all of them curried.

That is NOT acceptable! I would happily make a very nice lamb roast for you. Come visit sometime. :p

613823 2007-11-23 00:39:00 Ninjabear - I doubt you'd ever convince any New Zealander that a place like Hong Kong is better for lifestyle than New Zealand. You're on a losing wicket to try. But it's always good to get a perspective from people in other parts of the world. Greg (193)
613824 2007-11-23 01:04:00 Lamb, beautiful to eat, tasty, tender, succulent. When a good piece is cooked well its best imo to eat it without any add-ons, eat the meat for the flavour of the meat.

Granted I love a good curry, but its not an ideal way to appreciate the meat itself.

Might take out a bank loan and get a rack of lamb.....

613827 2007-11-23 02:30:00 Yeah...I don't really like curry too much..and lamb has a wonderful flavor all by itself with a little salt, pepper and some garlic.

I have a small leg of lamb...NZ or course in the freezer right now...Hmmmm...maybe Saturday...yeah!

PS: I don't really care for mint jelly either.

Trying to find some Dundee Marmalade in the US is hard too.

613829 2007-11-23 03:27:00 Everybody's style is different.Even though hong kong's pollution is bad however it isn't bad as you think.Everything is available in Hong Kong
I mean I would ask my father to send me a Plug Adaptor which costs $0.50NZ and have it sent here for $5NZ postage to new zealand while If I buy one from dicksmith at around $15.Thats like 2 hours of my wage gone.

Its uneconomical for me to stay in NZ.Work hard during my life and when you look back what have you done thats fun?

At least I can travel everywhere and buy things I like to buy.

My friend who's a New Zealander left New Zealand after graduating from massey and went to Korea to teach english.

He loves it over there than New Zealand.Korea's tax is low and Gst is low.He has spare money to travel around the word something which you'll be in your sixties before you have that chance and by that time you'll be old .You won't be as energetic and do the things you want while you were young. He went to china, hong kong, japan, singapore, malaysia .I have never met someone who's in their 20's in new zealand that have the money to travel.

Most of my friends would say.No job. Salary is poor.Everything is expensive

Vodafone sell N95 at $1000NZ?I can get a N95 8Gb at $800.I have a nokia n73 .I can save $200 buying overseas and use the money to pay my student loan.If I stay in NZ it'll take longer for me to pay my student loan back.

I don't think breathing fresh air can prevent hunger.

I don't mind coming to nz for vacation but it wouldn't be some place I consider to retire
So you were happy with NZ when you wanted a good education (I presume that is your reason for being here)
You were happy with a interest free student loan, probably payed for by most forum users.
But your not happy to put some back into the system:badpc:

Don't give me that...this post has run the gauntlet of....

population control,
euthanasia,
human mass-eradication,
cheap electronics,
the relative prices of said electronics in NZ compared to China,
low wages for students,
fresh air or the lack of it,
per-capita consumption of Ovis aries,
hunger,
midlife crisis and resultant purchase of more cheap electronics,
the school of hard knocks and age-regression,
life qualities in China and NZ,
sheep,
curry,
Dundee marmalade,
grazing,
schooling,
deserted beaches,
mountains,
lakes,
student loans

............and the question of paying the loans back to the F1ers taxed to pay for the education of foreign students. (Did I miss anything?)

.............so mate..............food is just a small deviation.
