So yeah, go to Hong Kong and live the life. And the smell. And the living waste. And the unending pollution. And the dead on the streets. And the maniacal government. And the... etc etc. Everybody's style is different.Even though hong kong's pollution is bad however it isn't bad as you think.Everything is available in Hong Kong I mean I would ask my father to send me a Plug Adaptor which costs $0.50NZ and have it sent here for $5NZ postage to new zealand while If I buy one from dicksmith at around $15.Thats like 2 hours of my wage gone. Its uneconomical for me to stay in NZ.Work hard during my life and when you look back what have you done thats fun? At least I can travel everywhere and buy things I like to buy. My friend who's a New Zealander left New Zealand after graduating from massey and went to Korea to teach english. He loves it over there than New Zealand.Korea's tax is low and Gst is low.He has spare money to travel around the word something which you'll be in your sixties before you have that chance and by that time you'll be old .You won't be as energetic and do the things you want while you were young. He went to china, hong kong, japan, singapore, malaysia .I have never met someone who's in their 20's in new zealand that have the money to travel. Most of my friends would say.No job. Salary is poor.Everything is expensive Vodafone sell N95 at $1000NZ?I can get a N95 8Gb at $800.I have a nokia n73 .I can save $200 buying overseas and use the money to pay my student loan.If I stay in NZ it'll take longer for me to pay my student loan back. I don't think breathing fresh air can prevent hunger. I don't mind coming to nz for vacation but it wouldn't be some place I consider to retire |

So you'll go abroad and not pay back your student loan? Martynz |

Things which seem important when you are young such as nightlife, cheap electronics, crowds of other young people, excitement, can be more easily experienced in megacities . However as you mature, aspects of life such as a safe and peaceful society, privacy, clean air water and food become more valued . Schooling, a sense of community, friendliness, these things loom large by your mid-30s and beyond . And space to roam around , to enjoy the environment . Deserted beaches, mountains, lakes . IMHO you'll only find these in the western US states, Australia , and New Zealand . |

One is lambchops...hom much do youse guys eat in a day/week/month/year/lifetime? I never get enough. I especially love mutton stew, Never eaten lambchops in my life to be honest. Not even in the 8 years I've been living in NZ. I think I've only eaten lamb three times - all of them curried. |

Martynz I am going back but I'll be paying back my student loan of course. You send them your address over there and show them how much your earning. I'll be writing cheques and sending back to NZ It's not someone holding me a gun. It's simply more affordable to buy things elsewhere I think it depends when you grow up.Even my father at his fifties buys lots of electronics. Lately he bought a harddrive disk player so you can watch it on tv. He also has a Pocket PC. Its different i guess.I cannot say to you NZ is a bad place to stay but for me its not affordable |
