613115 2007-11-20 03:28:00 The Icelanders showed the way when they "ahem" escorted the Poms out of their waters when they persisted in poaching Icelandic cod.

The Icelanders didn't shoot so far as I can recall, but they did place their ships alongside or in front of the Pommy ships. Eventually the Poms got the message.

We sent a frigate to protest the French nuclear tests, but this gumberment is too gutless to try that with the Japanese. We might lose a sale or two.

PS I wuz wrong. Shots were fired, ships rammed, and the captain of a Pommy trawler was lashed to the mast of an Icelandic ship. en.wikipedia.org for anyone who is interested.

613116 2007-11-20 03:38:00 Yep. And when the krill overpopulates, they will steal most oxygen in the water, suffocating other fishies in the sea. That's how nature works. You take one species out of a food chain, you disrupt the whole chain.

And we humans are doing such a good job at it.

Well, the Krill will just have to be educated in the practice of Birth Control!

I know, the Catholic Krill will resist, but we’ll just have to deal with that. :waughh:

613117 2007-11-20 03:58:00 Build robot whales that have massive harpoon type weapons to attack whaling ships! Woohoo!

They already exist. They are called "Submarines" PJ

Problem there PJ is it's the Japs that have the subs.

17 subs,6 more on way,53 destroyers.
What was it you wanted to do with your Pacific Fleet?

613119 2007-11-20 07:39:00 Kiwis and Aussies should stop buying Japanese goods of any type - no more Jap Cars no more Jap electronics etc etc - they just might sit up and take note if people did that, and it doesn't need the government to start the movement. KenESmith (6287)

As much chance as flying is my guess.

613121 2007-11-20 08:21:00 I think we could spare a few of the non-contributors in our society to go down the beach and throw a few rocks in the general direction of the whales. Metla (12)
613122 2007-11-20 08:40:00 I just dumped my Japanese girlfriend in protest  LiquidSolidity (1589)

At one stage ie when I voted first in my own poll 100% of poll thought lethal force against Japanese was ok LOL.
C1Lol, whats the NZ Air Force (aka 15? Hercules aircraft) going to do? Paint their undersides and pretend to be whales in the sky, and hope the Japanese fall for the idea?

Dead easy to discourage - everyone stop buying Japanese goods, as a personal matter of concience - a country can't launch a trade boycott, without retaliatory actions, but it is not compulsory to buy Japanese goods - if enough people take that action worldwide you can bet that whale meat would be off the menu in double quick time.

Kiwis and Aussies should stop buying Japanese goods of any type - no more Jap Cars no more Jap electronics etc etc - they just might sit up and take note if people did that, and it doesn't need the government to start the movement.Wonderful idea
Would you like my address so you know where to deliver the Audi you're going to buy me?

Shouldn't that be at the Whalers?
