| 614674 | 2007-11-24 06:36:00 | This the first? Then there is no way to be prepared. And look out for massive mood swings as the exhaustion, stress and upheaval in hormones wreck havoc upon your lady. |

| 614675 | 2007-11-24 06:43:00 | Baby food and cereals . . . rice, oatmeal and such for newbies, jars of First Foods and strained veggies and meat . . . don't forget strained lamb! Bottles with nipples . . small holes . . . . . disposable liners for bottles Baby shampoo and soaps, a bunting for during and/or after bath . I believe in lots of skin-on-skin contact with the new baby . After the navel heals, take the baby into the shower . . but be careful as they are very slippery . I like to hold them when they wear a terrycloth bunting for traction . . . . let it get wet . . . it's ok . Get the warm water to go over you both . It's a bonding thing . . and I did it with all my kids and we are very close even now . Don't forget baby oils and emollients for their tender skin . I resist powder though . . it's bad on their lungs . And . . . . . . don't forget a rectal thermometer! I'd stick with acoustic guitars for a while . |

| 614678 | 2007-11-24 07:30:00 | ....there is no way to be prepared. Rob, after 4 kids, I can tell you this is all you need to know. You can spend a fortune, buy all the crap under the sun, but as Met's says, you won't be prepared or have everything you'll need. Get the obvious stuff to survive the first few days, (beers, chips, something to read for those long nights) then be grateful for the excuse to bugger off for the arvo and go shopping to get the rest. |

Im pretty excited, but yea, this is my first so Im quite scared if anything . Are they as small as people say? Hmmm I dont want to make a mess of this so I guess Im going to read as much as possible . I even play her music already and talk to her, sometimes I feel a bit silly, but hey, Im trying . |
