777057 2009-05-26 19:51:00 So my local community college loans laptops, this one is on Windows Vista business, and while I am on administrator privileges, it is currently set to erase any installed programs or files that is put on when it is reset EXCEPT for programs such as Office 2007 and I guess anything approved by the school

my question is this, how do i get rid of that feature as I wanna play some games on my break period lol.

777060 2009-05-26 20:53:00 Well, you cant do anything then. And I dont think anyone here will tell you how. You're trying to bypass something thats been put there, for a reason Speedy Gonzales (78)

You're trying to bypass something thats been put there, for a reason Dead right - Theres a program there ( and I'm almost positive what it is) that has been installed, that does exactly that, it returns the PC back to a set state the School has determined -this is to prevent bogus programs, games etc being installed - its a security measure.

They loan the laptop, they can do what they want in the way of security measures.

777062 2009-05-26 21:22:00 They probably use steady state or something similar.

If you're thinking that bypassing it will be as easy as a few clicks, then you're wrong.

If you have a flash drive/ehd you could play it off that.
