776867 2009-05-26 02:22:00 I have Kaspersky Internet Suite and have license for 3 PC and all 3 in use.

I am planning to reinstall 1 PC and add some hardware to it and am not sure when i go to reactivate using the same key i got initially from Kaspersky will it work or will it see it as a 4th computer and refuse to activate?

Has anyone come across this situation? I tried contacting Kaspersky but no response so far

776868 2009-05-26 02:29:00 You sure youre not getting confused between windows and kaspersky, about activating it, when you change hardware? Or does kaspersky give you a licence based on your hardware ? Speedy Gonzales (78)
776869 2009-05-26 02:34:00 If you've activated it once, I doubt it would again. Blam (54)

No its actually Kaspersky. They give you this license key valid for 3 PCs when you buy from their website. Its a single license key i used on all 3 PCs to activate the software on all 3 PCs so i m guessing their database has recorded 3 registrations against this key

Blam6 but that would mean you could go around installing it on multiple PCs with no restrictions

776871 2009-05-26 02:58:00 I think you misunderstoof my statement, I meant that if you've activated it 3 times only, its highly unlikely you could keep activating on other machines.. Blam (54)
776872 2009-05-26 06:03:00 Nah. You just enter its serial and it will accept it.
Same as NOD does.

Its not WIndows with its stupid checks, it just cares that you actually bought it and its current.
