776837 2009-05-26 01:04:00 The Win7 beta had a "provide feedback" facility - this seems to have gone from the RC. Is there still an avenue for me to provide feedback? I have a couple of issues that have only arisen since I installed the RC:

My laserjet 1300 gets "disconnected" somehow, and no longer prints. The only way I have found to get it working again is to uninstall it and let Windows 7 re-recognize it after a re-boot.
AVG doesn't play nice with Windows Home Server. WHS keeps telling me I have no anti-virus installed.

I have notified both the vendors, but it would be good to be able to advise MS as well.

776838 2009-05-26 01:07:00 Post something in an MS newsgroup. Which you can usually access through an email client. There's probably a few million people who have had the same prob, and reported it. AVG doesnt play nice with anything. Its hopeless. Its probably an AVG prob. Does it say it works with Win 7? Speedy Gonzales (78)
776839 2009-05-26 01:21:00 Neither of those issues are MS's to sort out. Don't use AVG, it's hopeless, use Avast that should work fine. HP will bring out an updated printer driver at some stage (hopefully) wratterus (105)

I'll try the MS forum thing. Thanks, Speedy.

I don’t know about WHS, but I think MS may know that AVG does not work/ play nice with Win 7, as dad went to a MS conference on Win 7 & a lot of people said that they had problems with AVG.

776844 2009-05-26 03:19:00 Sigh.

A number of people had problems with AVG before Win 7 anyway.

If you want a good AV then use Nod32 in the event you want to pay.

Otherwise use Avast for free.

I have tested Avast using XP Pro 64, Vista 64, Win7 64 and Win7 32 bit.

There again I don't use torrents or get things from places that may be dodgy.

Currently dual booting with WinXP Pro 64 and Win7 32 bit.

My HP 7260 printer does not work under Win7 and nor can I find a solution for that.

I think you can still use the feedback tool in Win7 RC (www.itsmywindows.com) by running the following command, bring up the Run dialogue and copy this in:

rundll32.exe FeedbackTool.dll,ShowWizard

Haven't tried actually sending feedback but it loads up fine and a few blogs have mentioned this method.

it couldn't find the module.

Hmmm... I tried it on my 32-bit Win7 and the wizard came up OK, on the 64-bit system I get the message above. Feedbacktool.dll definitely exists on the machine, so what gives?
