| 776718 | 2009-05-25 01:21:00 | I'm really interested to know if anyone has experience of increasing the range of wireless connections using these, or other similar, devices. | rugila (214) | ||
| 776719 | 2009-05-25 01:23:00 | How about WL-520GU/GC's with Tomato firmware set up as repeaters? Cheap and easy:) |

| 776720 | 2009-05-25 02:11:00 | How about WL-520GU/GC's with Tomato firmware set up as repeaters?I'd like to know more about about comparative performances. The ones I mentioned do as far as I know have a pretty fair performance, but before paying up I'd like to know more. A google search for WL-520GU/GC didn't throw up that much info. I already have a couple of wireless routers, a Linksys WRT54G and an Apple Airport Express. I've set these up so either can be connected to the modem and either can be used a repeater. The total range is still limited, and with a repeater I need an intermediate power source. I'm looking for a suitable long-range device, maybe 5km or more. Would your WL-520GU/GC's with Tomato firmware be able to handle that? |
