776658 2009-05-24 23:40:00 Morning all!

Pop has a Epson Stylus CX3700 printer. When you open the printer properties the tabs at the top are in some language (russian maybe?) and the rest of the text is all question marks (?).
I have searched google and the epson sites but cannot find a fix for this.
Any ideas??
:help:
Many thanks.

776659 2009-05-25 00:17:00 Have you tried reinstalling the drivers? Blam (54)
776660 2009-05-25 00:49:00 Yes, I reinstalled the original driver that came with the printer, same result.
I then downloaded the latest driver from Epson, same result.
Deleted driver and tried again as above, no difference.

I have asked the tech boys at work and they seem to remember the same thing happening to someone elses printer and there was a registry hack to fix the problem. Unfortunately they cannot remember what that hack was, nor can I find anything on the net about it.

776661 2009-05-25 01:30:00 Tried running system restore back to before this happened ?? wainuitech (129)
776662 2009-05-25 02:27:00 I did try that and went back as far as I could, which was about a week.Unfortunately I don't know when it 1st occured.
I suspect it's been like that from day 1, and they have only just noticed it. That PC is a 2nd one only used for a few simple games. I know it's XP SP2, but I have no other specs for it.

776663 2009-05-25 02:29:00 Have you ticked "Show restore points older than 5 days"? Blam (54)
776664 2009-05-25 02:39:00 Yup, blam6, I did. tingle (6539)
776665 2009-05-25 02:50:00 Have a read of This here (www.howtomendit.com) - may be a total waste of time - then again it may fix the problem :D

OR just thinking - maybe use Revo uninstaller (http://www.revouninstaller.com/) - use the portable version, no need to install then, when run, select Advanced Mode - completely rip out Epson, all the folders and all the reg keys, then reinstall the software.
