776537 2009-05-24 15:17:00 This is my first post, just registered cause I looking for some help.I've had my pc for a few years now,and the other day I went to post process some photos(hobbiest photo guy) and my CS3 was gone.Well,it wasnt gone,it just couldnt be accessed. My slave drive gives me an I/O device error.I have it partitioned, and the other part of it works, but I need my CS3,as it is used very much.I bought online REGCURE cause it stated that it could fix problems like this, but NNOOOO,it didnt. So,what can I do?I'm not a real computer wizard or nothing, but I can usually bump around and fix things. Thanks in advance for any help that I can get. gearhead (14935)

776540 2009-05-25 00:24:00 Uninstall RegCure first.

Most registry cleaners cause more damage than what they're supposed to fix.

Then, try to uninstall the hard drive device in device manager(run>devmgmt.msc)

Reboot, then if that doesn't work perform a chkdsk /f on it.

Why would something claiming to be a Registry repairer be able to fix a hardware error?
Take a moment and think about it carefully............

Most of those things are lies, they just want your money.
Its not even useful as a registry fix.

I would download and run the manufacturers hard drive diagnostic software to check the drive itself first.
That will be free...........
