615291 2007-12-02 21:09:00 That would be right Greg. I was fortunate to have a sister who married a Polish guy, so in my mid teens I got introduced to Polish and German cooking, and later through another connection I was introduced to Swiss cuisine. What an eye opener after eating trad NZ cooking where the main intention seemed to be to get rid of any flavour. The main exception was in baking, but that is another story. John H (8)
615292 2007-12-04 06:03:00 SurferJoe46, there is a reason New Zealand Lamb tastes different. It is the exercise (media.apn.co.nz) they get chasing the sheep dogs. When the sheep are nearly ready for sale, they let them chase greyhounds for a couple of weeks to fine tune the muscle tone. R2x1 (4628)
