776847 2009-05-26 10:10:00 Didn't work for me - I got a dialog saying
it couldn't find the module.

Hmmm... I tried it on my 32-bit Win7 and the wizard came up OK, on the 64-bit system I get the message above. Feedbacktool.dll definitely exists on the machine, so what gives?

Just guessing but on a 64 bit system there's probably a rundll64.exe you need to use instead. I don't have a 64 bit system in front of me right now to test with, but you could try:

rundll64.exe FeedbackTool.dll,ShowWizard

776848 2009-05-26 10:27:00 The RC automatically reports feedback. It's in the same vein as 'phoning home' IMO, but I don't mind as it phoning home now will lead to a better final product  jwil1 (65)

rundll64.exe FeedbackTool.dll,ShowWizardI thought of that, but search doesn't reveal a rundll64. I actually suspect it is the "ShowWizard" it doesn't like, as if I execute the command without it, it doesn't appear to do anything, but it also doesn't give me an error.

The Windows 7 RC has lots of features to check out. For some ideas, see What's new in Windows 7.

As you work with Windows 7 RC, your system will automatically send information about errors so we can analyze issues and file bug reports where appropriate. In addition, we'd like to know what you think
(From the Microsoft email).

776852 2009-05-26 12:17:00 I find it difficult to believe that the MS automatic tracking is sufficiently sophisticated to identify that WHS (whether it is coming from the WHS PC or the WHS connector on this PC) is saying there is no virus protection when AVG is actually present. Ditto with the printer going missing. Neither of those are errors in the sense that something stopped working. Possibly they might pick up the printer, but not the antivirus, I think. As someone said early in the thread, neither are actually a Windows/MS problem, rather a problem for the respective vendors. Tony (4941)

There is a new way that AVs report their statuses in Windows 7. The AV co itself must actually update it so it will report correctly.

AVG hasn't done this yet (obviously), but Avast has, for the record.
