776767 2009-05-25 18:33:00 Another option here would be to create a Virtual HD for Windows 7 and install as that.

It'll be as if you have two hard drives, as mentioned above and removing Windows 7 would be as easy as deleting the VHD:)

I have outlined the steps in this post:
win-help.co.cc

Scroll down to Install Windows 7 to a VHD

And definetly get some more RAM. Windows 7 needs 1gb of RAM for a proper smooth experience.

776768 2009-05-26 02:28:00 That sounds easier than the other way of setting up dual booting, but what's the catch?? Why do all the other ways I've read about using GPARTED, etc etc)

Also, could someone help me with what memory type I need to get? My motherboard is a Asus A7V266. According to CPUZ I currently have 2 blocks of 256MB Type DDR, DRAM frequency 133.4Mhz).
Looking on TradeMe and PriceSpy, I'm a bit lost of what is compatible and what's not.
Ideally, I'd like to bump it up to 1GB total, but like I posted earlier, I'm gonna buy a new system later this year so I don't really want to spend a lot meantime...

Thanks

PS - was gonna download the Win 7 RC, but I think I read somewhere that it's going to be on the June PC World disc, is that right?

776769 2009-05-26 02:39:00 No Catches. Maybe slightly slower performance.

RC is in June issue of PCWorld, yes.

This RAM should work fine:
