615831 2007-11-28 06:05:00 Notice that all other brands of butter other than PAMS are off the shelves in Pak N Save; and their prices are much higher than they used to be. What has happened? bk T (215)

615840 2007-11-28 19:13:00 Also diversion of grain away from feedlots into bio-fuel; although the Fonterra guys have said that's probably not as significant as originally thought (but it still must have some effect).

The drought in Oz has meant not only lower dairy production there, but also crop failures. These things have an impact on international food reserves and demand.
