776921 2009-05-26 03:55:00 Yes I have just installed windows7 RC that came free on disc with PC World magazine. It doesen't use Windows Mail or Outlook Express. So I have installed the Thunderbird email client and Outlook at present. any other ideas for email downloads welcome kountryken (14110)

Use whatever suits you! What did you use before Win7? I can't remember using Outlook express as I have used Office since for ages.

I use Outlook which is part of Office.

I have no problems and I know where my Emails, Address books, Calendar is and it is easy to backup.

I'm the opposite, for home use I prefer Windows Live Mail. It's part of the Windows Essentials which is in my signature (see below). You can install the whole lot of just Mail.

One tip, if you are looking for the advanced options, try hitting Alt to make the menu bar come up, there's a lot hidden there.

Outlook is also quite good, depends what you like really
