617406 2007-12-02 11:31:00 For nearly a week now my connection keeps dropping, mostly at night. Annoyed and frustrated, I wanted to vent my anger at Xtra by calling their 0800 number.

Fortunately and unfortunately, their voice recognition system answered my call. The automated lady asked me what I wanted. Angrily, I said "*uck you!". The automated lady's response? "You're here to lay a complaint. Is that right?"

Now, after hearing her say that, my anger just vanished and all I felt was happiness, then I put down the phone. For a while anyway.

Makes you wonder about the meeting they had to set up the voice recog system .

The meeting starts off with a question from the team leader:
"OK folks, what words do we want the system to recognize? Think carefully because we only want the most important, the most common words that our help desk hears everyday . "

A hand shoots up with the first answer:
Well, that would have to be F#%K YOU !

617410 2007-12-02 21:48:00 Well, just rang up Xtra again in the morning, and understandably, I was blamed. Again. Don't know why I even bothered to call, really. qazwsxokmijn (102)

Of course it was your fault. Did you not know that Telecom have a policy of not accepting any blame for anything?

Last time I had a problem and I got the runaround I started asking some pertinent questions about what the procedure was and how involved it would be in making a change to TelstraClear!

Then they listened to me.
