616285 2007-11-29 08:38:00 We've seen what people's physical desks look like, now how about the virtual ones - the ones that have the icons on them :)

Screenshots would be good...

Will post mine soon - lappy shut down at the moment...

Look closely at the caption on the yellow smiley face on the desktop... and before you ask... www.imagef1.net.nz

For those of you who haven't heard of MS Bob, it was a mismarketed product released alongside Windows 95, one of Microsoft's biggest failures. It was aimed at business users, but it's sheer cartooney interface turned away business customers almost instantly. Kids loved it though!! Cost the same as XP Home (US$99). I downloaded it for free though... :)

616289 2007-11-29 14:48:00 I like mine tidy so you're lucky if theres more than just the 'my computer' icon here usually.......

it's actually a webpage and I change the pic now and then and sometimes put 'live' links on it also the text on the screen above the system tray is a javascript clock I found somewhere on the net and it follows the mouse around falling apart and reassembling itself when one stops the mouse .....pretty cute....if anyone wants the code for that I can post it but it'll only display within a webpage......

that's me and my wife in the pic.......standing beside her fathers house in whangarei before he sold it .......was known locally as the 'spaceship' since it sorta looked a bit like a flying saucer........he built it himself some years ago being a yacht builder he did the whole tthing.......very different......
