777489 2009-05-27 18:03:00 Hello,

Recently i had a maleware or something attack my computer and since then my IE/FF not working anymore. I have done quiet a few different scan's to make sure that this maleware was removed. I can still get mail via outlook and such but nothing on IE7/FF.

I have tried
lspfix
winsockfix
atf-cleaner
vundofix
superantispyware
malewarebytes
removed nortons

nothing has helped

i've gone throught he walkthrough to make sure my winsock wasn't corrupt. It was msising a few things but i followed theinstructions on the microsoft site and got it to where they said it should be but still nothing.

I run the Diagnostic and get
Winsock Status
Info Error attempting to validate the Winsock base providers: 2
error Not all base service provider entries could be found in the winsock
catalog. A reset is needed.

then in the http, https, ftp diagnostic i get this
info FTP (Passive): Successfully connected to ftp.microsoft.com
warn HTTP: Error 12029 connecting to www.microsoft.com:
connection with the server could not be established.
info HTTPS: Successfully connected to www.microsoft.com
warn HTTP: Error 12029 connecting to www.hotmail.com: A
Connection with the server could not be established
error Could not make an HTTP Connection
