A good rule of thumb is:

"If in doubt, miss it out"

Download CCleaner from here (www.filehippo.com), install, run, and tick all the boxes in the 'Advanced' section except the last one, and click Analyse. Once it's finished, click the Run Cleaner button and you're done!

Depends what you want to keep. Most of it is temporary files, such as previous run commands, recent documents list etc.

If you don't know it, then don't tick it.

But it should be safe.
