| 616088 | 2008-01-02 19:51:00 | thanks Raewyn. On a bitter note, I found ending with slingshot a messy affair, when i moved to the new house i could make anycalls what so ever except 0800 numbers. All I got when trying to make a call (local or toll) I got a message to contact callplus as I am not registered. So contact them i did, who then told me to contact slingshot, who in turn told me to contact telecom. Telecom said to contact them, so i contacted slingshot again who told me to contact call plus. Call plus told me to call telecom who finally credited me $50 and sorted the mess out. Sheesh! |

(While not allowing any of that English so-called beer to pollute the premises; not that there's anything wrong with warm beer as such. It's always warm when I return it to the environment.) |

| 616090 | 2008-01-02 23:37:00 | ...I found ending with slingshot a messy affair... Sounds familiar. Moving the phone from Telecom to Ihug was "interesting". Kids having left home we decided the time had come to dump call waiting. Brilliant service with kids at home, not so great when my elderly extremely deaf mother went through a patch of one way phone calls (couldn't tell her I was in the midst of something and would ring back. She also didn't understand that if the answer machine didn't come on we were home but ignoring her so try later). Didn't think to cancel it with Telecom, just signed up for ihug without it. Ihug: "You haven't got it with us, ring Telecom" Telecom: "It takes a month for it to cease", followed a month later with "we can't touch your account, try ihug" Ihug: "It isn't here, try Telecom" ... Ihug engineers disabled it in the end once I got past the accounts department. But it took some effort. |

That backs up my experience with that company. Since switching to xnet I have not had any problems with my adsl, which was unreliable with slingshot. |
