778013 2009-05-30 09:39:00 Okay thanks. Just one question though, how come one PC will boot with it but not the other? Kindel (6640)
778014 2009-05-30 09:54:00 Could be a combination of Faulty Card and mother Board -- Put the known Good working Card in the PC thats playing up, if it still plays up, then the board could be faulty. If it doesn't the Card more then likely is.

there is also a chance the Power Supply is failing.

778015 2009-05-30 10:16:00 I'll have to see if I can get another card to try that, because the good card won't go in the PC that's playing up because it needs an extra power connector Kindel (6640)
778016 2009-05-31 00:17:00 You can buy an adapter that plugs into spare molex Connectors, that then plugs into the Graphic card - certainly cheaper than a different card if you were thinking of buying one. (there may have even been one in the box with the GFX card you brought --Looks Like this (www.imagef1.net.nz). wainuitech (129)
778017 2009-05-31 00:41:00 Your ATI 4850 should've came with one. Blam (54)
778018 2009-06-01 08:20:00 Borrowed an old Radeon X1600 Pro to try, and everything works fine, so the issue is definately the 7600GT. Thanks for the help guys, I'll call this case closed!

By the way, if the replacement I buy requires it's own power, are you guys saying that an adaptor like that will just plug into the PSU?

778019 2009-06-01 08:21:00 Yes, just plug it into the 4 pin Power Connector.

Most Graphics Cards come with them, but if yours doesn't throw me a PM and I can get you one I have spare(unused)
