777539 2009-05-28 04:26:00 yeh it works in FF.
I wonder where one would go to find out if there are others having this problem.

777540 2009-06-15 05:27:00 This issue is caused by Geofilter issue.

By law MyLotto.co.nz has to reject users that are unable to pass across a valid IP address.

As it stands the system reads it as 'Host IP null" this is typically because of the data stored in the following registery entry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform

This is due to all updates to IE each time it adds additional keys i.e - ".NET CLR 2.0.50727" each key is passed across and if the length is more than 255 then you will experience a number of issues like this.

Quick solution install Google Chrome or Firefox and this issue will be resolved.

Hope this helps,

A MyLotto Friend

777541 2009-06-15 06:07:00 That may be right - however - I have FF installed - the last time it updated it started playing up - it doesnt save my preferences anymore - it opens 2 pages EVERYTIME now one a home page that it decides I want and the other the FF update page. I have asked them about it and received detailed instructions to fix it - which I dont have the ability to do. Which is why O changed back to IE.

As far as I am concerned LOTTO should be fixing it .. I am aware that they know about it - I shouldnt have to have a range of browsers just to deal with one website. Should I?

777542 2009-06-15 06:59:00 Yes I quite agree with Lovelee that it is up to the sites involved to keep pace with all the latest browsers/Flash Players/ Java etc, as more and more users upgrade to the latests programs the more that are going to have problems.

777543 2009-06-15 22:19:00 Just tested it today and it works fine with the following browsers

IE 5.55 (5.51.4807.2300)
IE 6.0 (6.00.2800.1106)
IE 6.0 (6.00.2900.2180)
IE 7.0 (7.00.5730.13)
IE 8.0 (8.00.6001.18702)
Firefox 2.0.0.4 (U3)
Firefox 2.0.0.12
Firefox 3.0.10
Firefox 3.0.11
Firefox 3.5 Beta 4
Firefox 4.0 a1 Prealpha
Safari 4 Public Beta (Build 528.16)
Google Chrome 1.0.154.36
Google Chrome 2.0.172.30
Opera 9.64 (Build 5270)
Opera 10.0 Beta (Build 1551)
Avant 11.7 (Build 33)

And the following operating systems:

Ubuntu v8.04
Microsoft Windows 2000
Microsoft Windows XP 64 Professional
Microsoft Windows XP Media Centre Edition
Microsoft Windows XP SP1/SP2/SP3
Microsoft Windows Vista
Microsoft Windows 2003 Standard Edition
Microsoft Windows 7
Mac OS X v10.5.7

FlashPlayer

9.0.28+ or above (tested up to the latest and greatest version)

Like I said the problem is with Geofiltering if MyLotto doesnt recieve youre IP address because of the limitation with Microsoft passing only the first 255 characters i.e

"Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1); .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.30; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.648; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729); **Followed by your IP** (which is cut off due to all the service updates)

I noticed this problem on a number of other websites too. I guess because its a gambling website they need your IP address for security purposes.

777544 2009-06-15 22:37:00 Solution to get IE working

This issue is caused by Geofilter issue.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post Platform

If you load "regedit.exe" and navigate to the above location you can just remove a few of the "service update" keys that are not needed then it will work with I.E just fine.

I totally agree you shouldnt have to do this but I've just tested it and it seems to fix the issue.

Hopefully it will resolve the issue in FF too! otherwise give Minefield alpha a go its fantastic! runs like a dream! FireFox 4.0 prealpha release.
