But since there was no-one prior to 9/11 (apart from Al Qaeda) that even thought about the scenario of a plane taking out a building, I find it hard to believe that "they were designed to take such impacts". that sir, is absolutely false: there's numerous accounts of it in real life and in fiction. plus it's hardly difficult to come up with, plus engineers have to build buildings like that, and put lights all over them to prevent accidental plane impacts causing failure Just for the record, and in case anybody didn't realise, one of the primary reasons for the WTC T1/T2 collapses was that the buildings had limited reserves of strength and the fireproofing insulation on the structural steel work was not properly applied in many locations. There was an excellent TV program on this some time back and IIRC there were photos taken during construction that showed the insulation problems. Steel does not have to melt to cause a collapse, it only has to get hot enough to become malleable, which is why iron-age blacksmiths could bend and shape iron with little more than a wood fire and bellows. With structural integrity compromised by physical damage plus intense fire over 2-3 floors, the heated metal could not sustain the weight of the floors above, which collapsed the burning floors, after which momentum (good, old-fashioned, no conspiracy required physics) put the rest into free-fall. You could see it on the videos. If you drop around 25-30% of a building 30 or so metres onto the rest, it is bound to exceed design limits and critical failure-point stresses by just the tiniest of margins don't you think? Give me a break and get a life. did you not bother with the video? how it the inner core of the tower, a very strongly built section of vertical steel beams, meant to crumple vertically like that - sure the floors could come loose, but we should still be left with the centre sticking "1000 feet" into the air. and then there's all the reports of explosions in the basements of the towers right before both plane strikes, which, looking at the perfectly straight, diagonal cut marks on those centre beams that were sticking out would seem to point to a demolition effort in the lower floors and how does WTC7 fall? it had fires on two floors. never before has a steel building failed in a fire and there has been many steel buildings with much greater fires. then it falls, like the other two, vertically onto it's own footprint plus lack of any bodies or wreckage at the site where a plane supposedly hit the ground plus no wreckage at the pentagon, too small a hole in the building, and the FBI refuses to release any of the videos bar a few inconclusive frames i mean, if they would show the video of the pentagon being hit, then i'd believe it, but i hear they even had evacuated that side of the building anyway for renovations! it just doesn't add up. |

Clinton had a really long bimbo record as Governor of Georgia . . already and repeatedly before he ever became president . He was sleeping with Arafat (politically), listening to what he said and commiserating with him and started making waves toward giving the Palestinians the land back that they had lost in the various skirmishes and wars with Israel . The Israelis didn't like the idea of that and either set him up with Lewinsky or just let things happen naturally . Lewinsky had said that she was gonna bag a president in an earlier memoir, maybe this was the fulfillment . Anyway, he got a lot of negative press over it . . . more than any president had before over a sexual tryst . . . (just think of JFK) as a way of spanking him and reminding him who did . . . and how he got into the White House . After his Oral Office leak, he was smeared and splattered all over the media . . . . he straightened out . . . . reneged on the PLO deal and the heat went away . . although he was destroyed forever as a moral person or moral politician (I detect an oxymoron there), never to run for much more than dog catcher again . His wife, on the other hand has few scruples and will sleep with any dog catcher if she can us it to get to the White House . (Looks like she is a very dark horse right now anyway) . Two more immoral people you'll have to look hard to find . |
