616731 2007-11-30 08:27:00 Apple has introduced new software for the iPod classic, the 5G iPod and the iPod nano (3G).

iPod software version 1.2.3 for the fifth-generation iPod comprises a selection of bug fixes, the company explains, including for one issue in which the player doesn't display any songs or content on the device after updated to iPod software version 1.2.2.

iPod software version 1.0.3 for the iPod classic and iPod nano (with video) is another bug fixes update, which iLounge reports as addressing an issue with the iPod nano’s clock, and a problem in which play counts of songs were affected by games.

The update also addresses some Cover Flow flaws and a spinning disk problem on the iPod classic.

All relevant updates will be made automatically available when a user syncs their iPod with iTunes.

616732 2007-11-30 17:03:00 Yup I dl 1.2.3 the other night.

I think the 1.2.2 update for 5G Ipods deleted whatever was on them, if you didnt have Itunes 7.5 installed.

I installed that when it came out too, but had 7.5 installed.

The songs on this Ipod were still there after.

The only prob with 1.2.2 when it came out, according to a few sites Itunes 7.5 didnt work (wasnt compatible), with Windows 2000.

2k users couldnt reset their Ipods.

Altho, I dont think Itunes works with 2k does it?? (according to the Apple site).

Or may have worked with versions prior to Itunes 7.5?

It did when Apple first released it for Windows.
