| 777686 | 2009-05-28 08:12:00 | Hi Gurus Yesterday (it seems like a lifetime ago... sigh...) I picked up my new computer.... one glitch I cannot solve involves Windows Media Player... a friend sent me a joke (.wmv file) - normally when I double click on the attachment it would run using WMP - this monster doesn't play nice.... how do I get this to work please? | 777687 | 2009-05-28 08:17:00 | try either VLC player (www.videolan.org) or media Player Classic / Home Cinema (www.afterdawn.com) ( or from the Home page) (sourceforge.net)<< Dont let the name fool you - it plays almost anything, and is much better than media Player. Also regarding the file - Dont try playing it Via the attachment - save it to your PC, then play it - some files dont like to play nice directly from attachments. |
