778905 2009-06-01 21:35:00 A Dell machine was given to me, one of those little compact slim desktops, and it doesnt power on, and the power LED flashes orange. i took the RAM out, and it doesnt beep, is the CPU fried? aidanmaz (7180)

778912 2009-06-02 00:12:00 Sounds like a Power Supply - those types of PC's sometimes have mini Power Supplies, which are hopeless - the trouble is, if it is a mini power Supply you cant just throw any ol PSU in, they wont fit.

BUT you can attach a full size PSU to test if it is or not the fault.
