| 778870 | 2009-06-01 10:02:00 | hey guys ? I currently running the Windows 7 BETA version Build 7000 at the moment which is a 32bit version . I recently checked and found out that my processors are 64bit and can run a 64bit OS . I just wanted to know are there any benefits of running a 64bit OS on a my PC ? My specs are as follows : Processor Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3 . 40GHz Memory (RAM): 2 . 00 GB Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS Number of processor cores: 2 64-bit capable: Yes Not sure what else would be relevant to share with you about my PC . Any ideas would be awsome! Cheers ! =) |

From your specs Genoslide I see no reason to use 64bit. If you plan to upgrade to 4gb or more RAM later then install 64bit W7 Why not dual boot? If all your hardware works fine with 64bit, then why not:D Blam |

| 778876 | 2009-06-04 02:02:00 | Genoslide, If you have the hardware I encourage you to try 64-bit as you will be able to take full advantage of all the wonderful features.
