Hello, everyone i'm trying to port forward my router to run a Ventrilo VOIP server. So I go in my router settings (router is a D-Link WBR-2310), i go to virtual server, enter my network ip and then the port range which is 3784. I give my external ip to a friend and the port number 3784, but he still can not connect. It says contacting server. Anyone know whats wrong? |

Is your network ip static (a manual ip, not on auto)?? And did you remember to add it then save / reboot the router? |

No not reset, reboot it to save the settings. If you add whatever, then quit (without saving / rebooting the router) it wont save what you've put in the router |

Have you set a proper static IP for your computer. |
