778420 2009-05-30 09:58:00 Maybe Blam6 can help you or go to other listings on TradeMe.

You can play FlightSim with a keyboard or have gamepads.

Not easy but there again I can't see how you will get a reasonable Joystick within your budget.

No idea what the hell that is, I'm guessing you'll need it for FSX?

778424 2009-05-31 01:29:00 Yea, mainly FSX, but also other games like Midtown Madness...

The Logitech one: Ive seen some pretty bad reviews about it...
And I thought Genius was one of the worst accesory maker of all time?

778425 2009-05-31 01:51:00 I use FSX & have also had most of the earlier MS Flight sims.
I have had a veriety of joysticks but none of them ever felt right flying the fixed wings.
I gave up on them & just used the keyboard until recently when I lashed out on a Flight Yoke. Only way to go. With FSX the Helicopters have now become more usable & I find a joystick is better for them. I have a Logitech Wingman Force which I find very adequate.
I have seen them go on trademe for as little as $25.
If you are on a budget, I would say your biggest problem with FSX will be getting a decent frame rate.
It can be a hungry beast.

You are right about that! I got one. AVOID at all costs. Even after attempting to clean the innards, it still plays up.

778427 2009-05-31 02:29:00 I use a Logitech on FS9 and FSX and have not had a problem in several years of use. Pato (2463)
778428 2009-05-31 03:40:00 Driftwood: I just got a brand new pc using my life savings (ok i admit, its an exagguration) so frame rates are not a prob. How do u manage to fly the Boeing F18 with full afterburner using the keyboard? I tried and crashed the thing. Went back to the logitech LS1 laser mouse.

bob_doe_nz: Yea, i realise that, my friend had that joystick, lets just say that the joystick died "peacefully" (After being smashed to the ground from a flat in the cbd)

Pato: Im looking for something under $30,
