| 778287 | 2009-05-30 06:37:00 | When I do a Google image search, or any other image search, about 75% of the time of late I just get a screen full of square boxes, or perhaps just two images displaying . The text displays OK . Sometimes if I wait about 3 minutes the others will display, sometimes not . Much of time the connection to the image programe becomes unavailable, but other non image web pages are accessible . All of this happens, no matter what browser I use . It only used to happen about 10% of the time, beginning about four months ago, but has progressively got worse . I cannot pin the cause to any change I have made and have the same problem when only the browser alone is running with virus checker, etc turned off . It even happens in Safe Mode . I have 4 GB of memory . I do not use any parental control software . My provider is Inspire and I am on their maximum speed plan and operate well within my download allowance . When it does work, it is as rapid as it has ever been, displaying page after page of image thumbnails at about 1 second a page . This problem does not happen on my wife's computer, which shares the same broadband modem . So i feel that the problem is definitely in my computer . It is becoming most frustrating . I am an author-publisher and need this access . At present when the problem occurs I need to use my wife's computer and email the image to myself . I am running Windows XP Home . |
