| 778097 | 2009-05-31 11:43:00 | ok tried that and it doesnt find anything also went through the "connect to a server" and selected windows share. it came back "cannot display location "smb://servername/" Failed to retrieve share list from share Rather than using the server name, use the IP address. You will probably need to specify a username/password. |

Can you also check what "workgroup" is specified in /etc/samba/smb.conf, and whether it's in the same workgroup as your WHS server? |

Start-Run Type "cmd" without the quotes and hit enter Type "ping [your linux server ip]" without the quotes and hit enter |
