778312 2009-05-30 08:56:00 May not - many Licenses look at the hardware on the PC, and register the codes against the software. So even dual booting, its the same hardware.

Thats why if you change a Motherboard, the windows License comes says already activated - the M/Board Code has changed.

So far I have one licence for my O/S WinXP and another licence for Win7 ( free so far ).

I have a licence for Office 2007 but I have Office 2007 installed under two operating systems but because I am using a dual boot I can only use Office 2007 under one O/S or the other and not both at the same time.

No need for two licence for Office2007 in my view I hope.

778314 2009-05-30 12:31:00 Just map the folder as a network drive

Do you mean, if I'm using Win 7, to map the folder in XP where the .pst file is stored??
When I'm using Win 7, the XP drive is D: drive. When I try and map a drive or folder from within Win 7, D: drive is not on the list of available drives to map...

778316 2009-05-30 23:07:00 If you are not to worried about having duplicates of the sent mails - what you can do, is load Office /Outlook on both OS's, then in the settings, select "Leave a copy on the server" -- that way when the mail comes in on one OS, when changing to the other it will still come in on that OS wainuitech (129)
778317 2009-05-31 05:01:00 Yes this will work fine. Just change the location of the PST file to a folder that has full access rights to both OS. Each install of Outlook is completely separate but the PST can be accessed from both as long both installs are the same version.

I have my PST file on my file server and can access from either Vista or XP and my laptop. Only one accessing at a time though!

The process is to backup both the outlook PST and archive file. Copy both to the new location and rename the files in the original folder. Start Outlook and it will complain it can't find the outlook.pst file and ask to browse to find it. Point it to the new location and it should be away. In the other OS just rename the pst files and start outlook and point to the same shared pst file location.

You will have to import or redo your account info and change the archive setting on both installs manually but once it is all setup it does work.

As stated backup all pst files, and account info.

Might not be a process for the faint hearted though!!
