618222 2007-12-05 20:56:00 Has it actually "improved" over the past year? WestMclaren2004 (7303)
618223 2007-12-05 21:06:00 Xnet's OK. Dont know about any other ISP tho.

Depends who you're with, I guess.

Altho I dont play games online.

I just download files , and browse different sites.

618224 2007-12-05 21:11:00 With Slingshot, not getting the usual disconnections as before and the speed has been really good, even at night during peak hours. Happy for now  ronyville (10611)
618225 2007-12-05 21:15:00 Just killed my slingshot. Paying way too much for broadband and only recieving barely faster then dial up speeds.

Xnet is doing awesome.

618226 2007-12-05 21:16:00 How do you defend "improved"??

The only thing that has changed over the last year is that unbundling the local loop has started & that there is at lest two ISP’s (Slingshot & Kiwilink) that has started offering Naked DSL.

Although the price for Naked DSL does not look all that great :( & I think sticking with a home phone line will be better then going with Naked DSL

Also Xnet seems still to be the poplar ISP, even after they had speed issues.

618227 2007-12-05 21:25:00 My speeds has not changed in a year. I am still at 1.5 speeds with upload of 125k. I am with Xnet. Maybe I will switch to a 256k download instead.

Ahh ..yes, I make sure I use download accelerator when I download.

618228 2007-12-05 21:58:00 Some ISPs, like Xnet are doing OK by the looks of it. Xtra is still sucking ass as ever. qazwsxokmijn (102)

I might ask what their customer base is sometime. My thoughts are that they don't have a lot and network traffic would be considerably less than the likes of Orcon or Slingshot.

618230 2007-12-06 07:17:00 I guess the real question is how far are we from the leading countries? WestMclaren2004 (7303)
618231 2007-12-06 11:32:00 I guess the real question is how far are we from the leading countries?

Very far behind compared to places like the USA etc…
