778942 2009-06-01 21:39:00 Hey Guys

I am facing a major issue in IE7.. One of my website pages is flickering when i am navigating through the links of the website.

www.twe-events.com

Its a really strange effect as its not happening in another webiste designed on same line..

http://www.agl-logistics.com/

any ideas why this could be happening and any possible solutions ??

Need that badly..!!!

778943 2009-06-01 21:58:00 Welcome to PressF1.

Just a quick note, with this type of question it's better to post it in the help forum, rather than the chat forum. More techies lurk around there. ;)

The site is infact very quick. No flickering in Firefox or Chrome, however I'm having the same thing in IE8 (don't have IE7 anymore). A sort of 'ripped page' with a pixelated line going diagonally through the screen whenever a new page is loaded.

I'm not sure why that would happen, might need to wait for a web designer. Dontcha just love IE? :D

778944 2009-06-02 00:19:00 Just tried both sites in IE8 & FF -- both load up fine and look exactly the same in both browsers -- No flickering, even when working through links on pages. wainuitech (129)
778945 2009-06-02 00:40:00 Isnt the guy trying to get free advertising for those links? prefect (6291)
778946 2009-06-02 01:45:00 Probably not..

But I don't get any issue in my IE7

Maybe it comes down to screen resolution?

778947 2009-06-02 01:46:00 Isnt the guy trying to get free advertising for those links? I did think the same thing, esp since its a first post.

Maybe a mod can decide.

778948 2009-06-02 09:30:00 Hey guys

Thanks for your precious time . . The bug was actually there (for those who don't see it) but incidentally on few browsers don't really know why . . never happened before but i did found out the solution to it by adding this two lines in head tags of the page . .

<meta http-equiv="Page-Enter" content="revealtrans(duration=0 . 0)" />
<meta http-equiv="Page-Exit" content="revealtrans(duration=0 . 0)" />

This actually brings the page transition time to 0 seconds . . i . e until and unless the next page loads completely the previous does not stops displaying . .

cheers :):)

Now to those who think i am trying to advertise . . A simple application of common sense will help them understand why i am not advertising!!

1 . The site twe-events . com is not live yet!!
2 . The sites are about logistic services in Spain and transport services in Spain so it would be far more productive to advertise them in related websites . .
3 . One of the persons actually the first reply did see the problem in IE8 . .

So . . :)

Explanation was not required . . but you see i was unable to resist the temptation . . :)

Nevertheless thanks for all your time . . Hope you have a great day ahead . .

thanks . .
