619760 2007-12-10 05:52:00 I want to show some digital images scanned from film at a Resource Consent hearing.
Any advice on the minimum/maximum resolution.
Or should I go for the largest?

619761 2007-12-10 06:08:00 Will these images be part of a powerpoint presentation? Otherwise, you will be limited by the computer projecting the images resolution. What size are the images? Jen (38)
619762 2007-12-10 19:36:00 Not a Powerpoint presentation, just a projection of photos I'm submitting as evidence. I'm going to put them on a memory stick.
The size depends on the scan settings I choose eg highest def. lowest compression .jpg is c. 5MB.

619763 2007-12-10 21:50:00 Windows XP has the facility right in just my computer or explorer ... on the bottom of the film strip or pix strip hit slide show icon and all pix will be played. You may need access to a projector .. and a laptop (?). Nomad (952)

There is no point trying to load up 5MB images as you will only bog down the computer displaying them unless it is newish with reasonable RAM. Make a series of images between 500KB and 5MB and see if you can spot the detail difference visually. If you can't on your PC monitor, then they won't notice either.

619765 2007-12-12 08:05:00 Thanks Jen.
I scanned the pics again and prepared a set c. 2.5MB as a backup.
It turned out that the system could handle the 5MB ones.
The only hiccup was finding the remote for the ceiling mounted video projector....lol
