779648 2009-06-04 10:15:00 Just lately most times I go to open PC World Forums, I get the following message

Adobe Fash Player 9 a script in the movie is causing it to run slowly, if it continues your computer may be unresponsive.

I have to click NO to get the page to finish loading

How can this happen, abody else getting it.

779650 2009-06-04 10:20:00 That would be the flash ads.....get Adblock+ and Noscript and you'll be fine

779651 2009-06-04 10:46:00 This problem has started ever since the site had the "Ads fixed" the other week. Up until then it was working fine.

I'm getting the exact same message (imagef1.net.nz) - some times it loads fine others not.

I'm using IE8 with IEpro, silly as it may seem if it DISABLE the script blocking, the site works fine.

I have tried PF1 on 3 different PC's 2 XP and Vista -- All the same thing, the XP's run IE8 without any ad ins.

779654 2009-06-05 12:06:00 The setting I was referring to was in IE Pro7 (http://www.ie7pro.com/) - an add in to Internet explorer.

I have had this problem with the pages loading in straight IE8 As well on the workshop PC's - (might if I get time have a look for a fix over the weekend).

Its not the computers, its something in Press F1's site - NO OTHER SITE I have gone to has this error.

Can the PC World staff, moderaters, web designer do anything about this.

779656 2009-08-06 00:09:00 It doesn't appear so, we've been through this many times before. :( The whole shebang is owned by Fairfax and we know that they care more about their bottom line than the satisfaction of their customers/users.

I use firefox, stylish and a script (pressf1.co.nz) that bletch wrote, and it's as tidy and quick as you could hope for. I'm well aware you shouldn't have to do this, but in this situation there doesn't seem to be a lot else that can be done.

Using Firefox with NoScript and AdBlockPlus should sort it out enough too.
